WordPress web design is an increasingly popular way to create your website. The reason is the CMS makes it easier for people to keep their websites up to date and to add more information to. What makes it even easier for you to keep your site up to date is to use a framework.
If you think of your website like a car, which in many cases is very accurate, WordPress would be the car, the framework would be the frame and body of the car and the theme would be the paint and all the options that you’d get with the car.
After trying out a few frameworks, I’ve become a firm believer in the offering from Studiopress called Genesis. They’ve taken WordPress web design to new levels with it. From the functionality that they have built into Genesis as well as the solid foundation that it gives, finding a better framework has proven to be very difficult.
Not only has using it made it easier to create WordPress web sites from the ground up, they also offer child themes that clients can start from to make the adaptation for their own sites easier and cheaper! Using a child theme as a basis can cut design time and costs by huge amounts, but knowing they are built on a great framework is the best reason to use them.
Whenever I’ve completed a WordPress web design using Genesis, I feel better about the fact that they have Genesis as the foundation for their design. Not only for the security but for the simple facts that if edits need to be made down the road, because they’re built on Genesis, it will make the changes much more simple. This keeps costs down on both the front-end and back-end of the design for my clients.
